Itinerary at a Glance
Arrival at Queen Alia Airport. Meet & assist, complete formalities, collect your luggage, and transfer to your hotel in Amman.
Explore the highlights of Jordan’s capital: visit the Citadel, ancient temples, churches, and the Museum of Amman. Continue to the Roman Amphitheater and wander the vibrant downtown streets to experience local culture firsthand. Overnight in Amman.
Visit Madaba’s Basilica of St. George, home to the remarkable 6th-century mosaic map depicting the Holy Land. Continue to Mount Nebo, where Moses gazed upon the Promised Land. Finish your day at the Dead Sea, Earth’s lowest point, famous for its buoyant, mineral-rich waters and therapeutic mud. Overnight at a Dead Sea resort.
Depart early via the King’s Highway to Petra, the Nabataean “Rose City” and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through the colorful Siq to the iconic Treasury, and explore royal tombs, temples, and the Roman-style theater. Optional hikes to the Monastery or High Place of Sacrifice provide breathtaking views.
Continue south to Wadi Rum, the “Valley of the Moon,” with its red dunes and towering rock formations. Enjoy a 4x4 jeep tour guided by local Bedouins, and optional activities like sandboarding, camel rides, ATV rides, hot-air ballooning, mountain climbing, stargazing, or yoga. Relish a traditional Bedouin Zarb dinner cooked underground with marinated lamb or chicken. Overnight at a desert camp.
Travel to Aqaba, Jordan’s Red Sea gem. Relax on pristine sandy beaches, snorkel or dive among coral reefs, and enjoy the coastal scenery. Overnight in Aqaba.
